Hey Gworl™ supports children, teens, young adults, and adult women impacted by foster care, adoption, kinship care, non-biological caregiving arrangements, and trauma. Through trauma-informed mentoring, mental-wellness education, life-skills development, family support, and community resource connections, we help participants build confidence, stability, and meaningful pathways toward purpose.
OUR IMPACT
Creating Meaningful Change Through Support, Connection, and Purpose...
Since 2023, Hey Gworl™ has served more than 75 girls and women across four age groups through trauma-informed programs, family support, and connections to valuable community resources.
Trauma Informed
We create supportive environments that recognize the impact of trauma while encouraging healing, confidence, healthy relationships, and personal growth.
Holistic Development
Our programs address the personal, emotional, educational, and practical areas that help girls and women navigate different stages of life with confidence.
Community Connection
We connect participants and families with trusted resources, educational opportunities, and qualified community partners that can provide additional support.
CLTS Provider
We provide supportive, individualized CLTS services, including respite care and mentorship, that encourage children and youth while strengthening families and creating meaningful opportunities for growth and connection.

Hey Gworl™ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting children, teens, young adults, and adult women impacted by foster care, adoption, kinship care, non-biological caregiving arrangements, and trauma. Through culturally responsive and trauma-informed programs, we create opportunities for participants to build confidence, strengthen healthy relationships, develop practical life skills, and gain a deeper understanding of their wellbeing and potential.

Latrice Ricketts is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hey Gworl™, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving children, teens, young adults, and adult women impacted by foster care, adoption, kinship care, non-biological caregiving arrangements, and trauma.
With more than 17 years of experience in childcare, family support, administration, and community leadership, Latrice has built her work around creating safe, supportive environments where children and families can thrive.
