Our Mission:
The Hey Gworl Nonprofit organization’s mission is to offer a distinct, community-based, integrated approach that aids young girls within and beyond their time in the foster care system. This is achieved through personalized and group mentoring, life skills training, social enrichment camps, retreats, organized activities, employment training, and supportive housing alternatives.
Our community-oriented initiatives are designed to enhance each aspect and ensure positive outcomes as these youths move into adulthood.

Children Hair & Hygiene Give Back
A community-driven giveback event designed to promote self-esteem, hygiene awareness, and care education among children and youth. Participants receive free haircare services, hygiene kits, and guidance on healthy daily routines.

Theme: Mental Health Talk Back & Resource Programming
Hey Gworl Plug-In: Teen Parent Edition
A safe and empowering space for teen parents to connect, heal, and build a support system. This event features professionals and mentors in trauma-informed care, foster/adoptive parent support, housing resources, GED completion, and job training opportunities such as CNA, Childcare, and CBRF programs.

Theme: Mental Health Talk Back & Developmental Programming
Teen Only Plug-In
A focused discussion designed specifically for teen girls to explore real-life challenges and emotional growth. Topics include understanding and healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, addressing personal and emotional needs, and discovering and embracing identity. Continuous mentorship and follow-up ensure long-term success for each Hey Gworl participant.

Hey Gworl Plug-In: Young Adult & Adult Edition
A dedicated forum for young adults and adults to explore mental health, healing, and empowerment through open conversation and community resources. Programming includes access to trauma and mental-wellness professionals, foster/adoptive care and housing resources, GED and job training programs (CNA, Childcare, and CBRF), and domestic-violence prevention and assistance resources. Each participant receives ongoing mentorship and individualized support for stability and success.

This program is designed to help individuals 18 and older complete high school or gain meaningful employment in high-demand fields such as nursing and childcare. Participants receive career guidance, mentoring, and access to resources that support academic completion, certification pathways, and job placement.
